Alguna vez leí o escuché a alguien –una lástima que no lo recuerde con precisión– que hablaba de la necesidad de no dejar de hacerse preguntas, ya que esa era la única forma de no perder nuestra capacidad de asombro, tan importante para comprender experiencias ajenas y desarrollar la empatía. Guardé ese consejo, aunque no sé si lo he aplicado con rigor y honestidad. Luego supe de la importancia de no dejar de soñar, aunque te pares frente al espejo y veas cómo se ha marcado el tiempo en tu rostro. También atesoré ese consejo y creo que me ha resultado algo más fácil de seguir que el primero. De cualquier modo, siento que ambos consejos se actualizan y cobran un nuevo sentido al ver crecer a mi pequeña A*. Ya casi con su año y medio cumplido, veo cómo asoman sus primeras preguntas. Si bien, todavía no tiene la capacidad de enunciarlas en una oración coherente, basta con observar su cara de asombro ante cualquier mínimo o máximo detalle para adivinar la multitud de interrogantes que se agolpan en su mente libre. Asombro y preguntas, inseparable dupla para descubrir un mundo... Luego me enseñará a utilizar mis sueños frente al espejo.
